Become a Forum Trustee
As a voluntary organisation, the Bristol LGB Forum is run by a Management Committee, while the work is done by the staff, one Development Worker and one Administrator, both only work part-time.
The Forum always welcomes new Management Committee members, also known as Trustees, and is keen to represent all ethnic backgrounds, levels of ability, status, ages and genders, including people who identify as Transgender.
To become a Trustee, you must first be Member of the Forum. Membership is free and only requires that you identify as Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual, live or work in Bristol and are over 18 years of age.
What do Trustees do?
Trustees are unpaid volunteers who take on the responsibility of steering the work of the Forum together, by representing the interest of Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual people in Bristol, and in particular that of the Forum's Membership.
The Forum's Management Committee meet once a month, usually alternating the first Wednesday and the first Thursday of the month, between 6:30 and 8:30pm, in Central Bristol.
The Trustees discuss the Forum's work and decide how to move forward.
To find out more about Trustees, check the Trustees' Induction Pack, where you will find information from the Charity Commission and an application form.
