The Forum was created to act as the voice of the LGB community, that is, Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual people who live, work or study in Bristol.
We are in the process of balloting our Members to sanction the Annual General Meeting recommendation that we extend our remit to include Transgender people and become LGBT. Although we have always included Trans people who identify as LGB, this amendment to our Constitution wil mean that we would explicitly offer membership to Trans people, irrespective of their sexual orientation. To join the discussion about this Constitutional change, please click on the button below, to visit our Trans discussion Forum.
Our brief is to campaign for equal rights, consult with statutory bodies, speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves and challenge discrimination.
One of the ways we do this is to hold regular open meetings as well as an Annual General Meeting (AGM). All of our meetings include an element of socialising and networking.
There are three levels of membership:
| Membership type | For | Vote |
| FULL Membership | Individual LGBT membership | Yes |
| LGBT Group Membership | LGBT Organisations | No |
| Associate Membership | Non-LGBT supporters and Organisations | No |
Membership of the Forum gives you the opportunity to be at the heart of debates on LGB issues, by contributing your opinions and add your voice to those of other in our LGBT communities.
